Roger W. Jordan Sr., 81, of Bridgman passed away on July 20, 2022, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. His presence will be greatly missed.

Roger was born Feb. 5, 1941, in Bangor to Joseph and Lilah (Clarke) Jordan.

He was a 1959 graduate of Hartford High School where he was voted class clown. His good humor and enjoyment of a funny story lasted throughout his life.

On July 3, 1965, he married Laurel Lausman to whom he was wed to for 47 years.

Roger worked at National Standard in Buchanan and its associated companies, including Buchanan Metal Forming, from 1962 until his retirement in 2009. In his later years, he could often be seen driving his golf cart down his street visiting with neighbors. He was devoted to his family, enjoyed gardening and camping, and was known for his willingness to help others.

Roger is survived by his children: Roger Jr. (Francine) Jordan of Coloma, Dawn Jordan (Peter Green) of Port Republic, Md.; and grandchildren: Faith Jordan of Honolulu, and Noah Jordan of Coloma; brothers: Thomas (Lois) Jordan of Coloma, William (Darlene) Jordan of Hartford; sister, Betty Jordan of Dowagiac; sisters-in-law: Judy Jordan of Paw Paw, Louise (Theodore) Lausman of Stevensville, Candace (James) Kollath of Bridgman; brothers-in-law: Larry Anchor of Hartford, Larry Reinhart of Decatur; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Laurel; his brother, Ken "Pete" Jordan; his sisters: Shirley (Jordan) Anchor, Patricia (Jordan) Reinhart; and his brothers-in-law Theodore Lausman and Craig Lausman.

Private graveside services will be in Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. A brief memorial service will be held from 1:30-2 p.m. followed by an open house. Condolences can also be shared online at www.duffieldpastrick.com.
